Sorry if this is redundant but I did search this subreddit and didn't find any mention of this here. I am often suckered into choosing Amazon products based on the amount of high reviews.
Now, many of them are easy to spot: products with 20 reviews saying things like "Works great!". However, the products with hundreds or thousands of reviews are nearly impossible to sift through. You copy the URL and paste it into the Fakespot generator and it will pull all of the reviews that have repeating phrases and even highlight which users have given multiple similar reviews for the same seller.
This is mentioned a lot on slickdeals and I wish I would've looked into it before buying items that had a 5 star rating but ended up being 2 star quality.
