I'm a big guy, 1.94m, 100kgs (6'4, 220lbs), so I have to eat a fair amount to stop from going skinny (used to be 80kgs and looked dangerously unhealthy). I eat mostly bread, fibre, brown rice, pasta, chicken, and mince, as it's the healthiest food that I can find that is even remotely cheap, and the only milk I get is long life so that I can buy in bulk for about $1 per L, and yet before the fortnight is up, I am, with rare exception, out of food.
I cook my food, enough to last a day or two, I buy generic unless something tastes better and is only marginally more expensive (cents difference), the most expensive thing I do is get my food delivered because the closest store that isn't a overpriced corner store is a few kms away and I don't have a car.
So, what should I do differently, where and how should I shop... just in general, how do I get more bang for my buck.
