We're helping some friends with some upgrades prior to moving into their new home. They bought a vinyl peel and stick flooring to put down in the living, dining, and kitchen area. It was the cheapest wood plank flooring they could find. The challenge here is they had carpet in the living which has been removed and vinyl in the kitchen/dining area. Can we use a leveling product to smooth out and level the floor between the existing vinyl sheet flooring and the concrete floor in the living room? Since the vinyl sheet isn't coming up and firmly attached we were just going to lay the new planks right over it. Will this work? What issues do you foresee us running into?
