I built a pottery wheel out of an old treadmill motor as many people have done, I followed instructions most of the way through changing things only to suit my accommodations. The motor is attatched to a two pulley system, motor pulley is 2.5 inches, and the shaft pulley is 8 inches. Everything is finished but when I try to throw pottery on the wheel I am bogging down the motor, which after 10 hours of work, is pretty disappointing. How can I add more torque to solve my bogging issue, would a bigger shaft pulley do the trick? Please help... via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2knPQsR
