Hi all
So I am currently unemployed. I have a seasonal job that will start early spring. At this point, I don't see it necessary to try to get another job (been struggling with mental health, just trying to start working on myself this week.)
I get ~$950 from the US govt due to my dad claiming social sec and me still being in high school. I am saving ~$500 towards college per month, spending ~$100 on car insurance (car just died though, another financial burden I have to figure out.)
Overall I'm looking for a way to start really saving/making money so I can one day build it. Believe it or not up until this month I hadn't really done any saving.
Once I start work again in a month or so I'll be getting ~$150/week until school ends in May, then around ~$300/week after that.
Also I will still have the extra SS money ~$300-400 a month until June (dependent on if I get another car) that i usually completely blow through on food and other useless junk.
Really don't know where to begin bettering myself financially. Any help or advice is appreciated.
