hi all - we had gotten a pimped out queen futon from amazon (pets ruin our sofas) and bought a separate futon mattress bc it was advertised as being 10"...well it actually was more like 6" (should have returned it right away) - a few months later, it is now like 3" of mattress and not very comfortable. amazon as a courtesy credited us $40 which was nice...so now i am wondering, what can i do to make our living room futon more comfortable? we sit on it all the time and sleep on it fairly often so whatever we get has to work for both positions. a mattress topper of some sort? an egg crate? i have no experience with toppers and don't know if they'd work with sitting position...any tips appreciated, thank you! we also could just get a new futon mattress of course, but i wonder if a topper would be even more comfortable.
