I know it is anecdotal, but I just found out it was cheaper to book two different people separately on a flight vs together. Booking flights for people I work with and finished booking one person's flight before doing the other two that had a different return date. That's when I noticed that the price jumped up $25 each for the flight out. Thought maybe it was the whole "need to clear your cookies because airlines increase the fair when you go back and do the same search again". So I went to a different browser in private mode and searched again... same price. Then tried dropping the search for just one person. Bam, it was back at the cheaper price again.
Don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but I thought I'd pass it along to others to be aware about. The small price difference could really add up.
