Bought my wife an iRobot Roomba 880 from BB&B in the summer of 2015. The thing nearly cost me $800 but we were sweeping up after our 4 dogs daily, and we thought this could help. Ran fine, needed occasional maintenance and daily emptying of its bin and clearing of the inevitable clogs. A few days ago it stopped running, it would just go in circles and throw an "error 9". I talked to customer service, ran through one troubleshooting step, and was told that it was busted. Warranty is only 1 year. Ok, no big deal, what is it going to set me back to fix? "This product is discontinued and we have no parts in stock for it. Would you like to buy the new 900 series?". Hell no. An $800 product dies 1.5 years later and you aren't supporting it? Won't even let me pay you to fix it? It was the top of their line when I bought it, and they have already abandoned it. What a shame. I may buy another robot vacuum, but I won't buy iRobot.
