About 6 months ago someone mentioned Kontex Towels on this sub. I decided to try them out and purchased a 4 Sets Kontex Lana Towels (Hand Towels and XL Bath Towels)

Use

They aren't quite as fluffy as a normal towel meaning they don't tend to absorb all the water off from you quite as easily as a normal towel. However they do a very adequate job and after adjusting to them I actually like how they work slightly better than a normal towel. Because they are minimal/thinner, they dry very well after use and take up a bit less room in our small cramped apartment.

Durability

These towels were incredibly soft when I purchased them. They are cotton, however they are some of the softer towels I've felt. Easily some of the softer towels I've felt all without any chemicals or fabric softeners.

After about a week or 2 of use the softness started to fade and I was initially a little disappointed. However when they were run through the wash (again, no fabric softeners, just free and clear detergent) they came out as soft as when we originally purchased them. They literally looked and felt like brand new towels after we washed them. I have a few hand towels that have yet to be washed and I have a hard time telling them apart from the 6 month old ones.

Overall I am very happy with our purchase. They are a bit expensive but not much more than you would spend on a high end set from a department store.
