Like the title states, I have only internet from xfinity (Comcast) and I've had it now for a year at $34.99 a month, but the first year just ended and I got my bill for $74.95. I have my own router that I purchased back in 2013 that works great so I don't pay a rental modem fee. I was wondering if anyone has some form of advice on getting my price down and dealing with customer service.

I somewhat have the option of switching over to Verizon FiOS internet for $49.99/month for first year but I rely on the xfinitywifi hotspots a lot in my daily life, so I would like to stay with xfinity, but in my mind that info may help with dealing with the customer service reps to keep me with comcast by lowering my price.
