I am 47 and my wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in April of 2013. At the time I was a regional sales manager for national company with about 75% travel. As disease progressed I couldn't be away and stayed home to care for her. I went through savings and all retirement accounts during these years and declared bankruptcy. Hard decisions, but she was with it. Sadly, in May of 2016 she passed and I began the process of figuring out what the f*ck to do now. Anyway, I recently accepted a position that has me starting over and need help/advice on making sure I won't be trying to stock shelves at Walmart when I'm 85.

My new job has a salary of $75k with a $7k signing bonus. I also receive a car that I can use for personal use (pay tax on that use) so I don't have auto loan, insurance premiums, or fuel costs. Because of bankruptcy I have no monthly bills other than rent (I am budgeting max of $1100 for rent). What do I do? Where do I start? I feel somewhat overwhelmed.

Any advice or thoughts would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you!
