First of all: love this sub. Immediately as I came here I remembered a Kenwood Hand Mixer my mother's been using since 1970 and I always admire the thing, when I see it.. Not a lot of electric stuff out there that last so long. Was considering posting that, but since it should be available for sale still, not gonna do it. :)
Anyway to the topic: we've built an inventory app and one of the things we're including is a feature called "maintenance" reminders that will let you know when it's time to do some regular maintenance and you'll be able to postpone it or check that you did it.
One of the reasons some of the stuff we use don't live that long is that we simply skip taking care of them, and for me the problem is not remembering something that should be done twice per year, or even monthly. My Roomba is about 5 years old now and still going strong with a replacement battery, but I never remember to change the air filters on time.
So what other stuff is out there that has these regular maintenance tasks, and when taken care of would last longer? I'm interested in specific models, but any general ideas like leather shoes would help as well. I'm asking because I'd like to know what stuff to focus on with that feature, and thank you in advance for any tips you may have!
