Hi all, just wondering if spread betting can be used effectively to invest in an indexed fund, or would I be taking on a lot of extra risk in doing so? Ideally investing a small amount per month over a long period of time, 20 years or more.
I'm Irish and gains from index/mutual funds are taxed at 41% here while spread betting is tax free, hence my eagerness to find a better way of keeping my gains!
