Buying packs and cartons can be pretty expensive (~$4 to ~$17 per pack) and (~$30 to ~$60 per carton) depending on where you live. A cheaper (but not necessarily healthier) alternative to buying them is rolling your own. I just bought everything I needed to roll an entire carton of Marlboro Smooth equivalent cigarettes for $12, as opposed to paying $54 for a carton.
It is time consuming and may be too tedious for some but it is definitely an option to keep in mind.
