I work for a small business who has a personal account do the payroll. My last two weeks of 2016 were paid to me on January 5th; when I received my pay stubs for the first two weeks of 2017, 1st through the 15th, received January 17th the year to date section included the pay for the last two weeks of 2016. If the wages I earned in 2016 are being counted as income in 2017, won't that mess up my w2's and potentially tax me twice for the same two weeks of work?
