My almost-ex is using checks from our old joint bank account to pay his rent. The checks have my name on them as well as his, with his new address on them. Can this have any effect on me? I can't force him to close the account-- can I? I'm just worried that if he somehow screws over his landlord or bounces a check I'll be held responsible for it. I don't know anything about this stuff.
