Hey all. Trying to focus on some recipes to help with my weight. Bonus points if the meal can be made in bulk/ frozen for later. What all do you guys like?
Breakfast ideas: I'm not big on breakfast but I figure eating it is better than not having anything at all. Breakfast sandwiches? Smoothies with frozen fruit/greek yogurt? Homemade granola bars?
Lunch ideas: Hummus? I usually eat this with pretzel thins. Can I use raw vegetables? Which would you suggest? Dairy free, chicken salad on crackers? Half sandwiches? Salami & cheese? (I try to buy all beef salami. It's hard to find here in NC though.)
Dinner ideas: Is frozen fish okay? What about chicken? I tend to buy chicken fresh but frozen is much cheaper. Most likely to be served with roasted green beans/asparagus/steamed broccoli. Couscous or brown rice would be nice as well. Bean soup/veggie chili recipes? Can pasta be made in a healthy way?
Snack/dessert ideas: I can do without this category but it would be nice to have some things like nuts, popcorn, dark chocolate, and berries with whipped cream at least once a week.
I'm open to any and all suggestions, even general advice as far as losing weight. I have a super cool Asian grocery store around the corner that I should use more but I don't know what to get there.
