I'm planning on throwing out all of my underwear and socks to completely start over and get a single brand. What are my best options for each?

This probably seems totally silly but my socks and boxer-briefs are all worn out/mismatched and I decided I'm just going to pitch everything and start new. Can anyone recommend me best-bang-for-buck brands I can try out before I follow through on this?
