Especially at Mighty Dollar. I know that Mighty Dollar's aren't as popular, considering it's a "newer" chain. But, Mighty Dollar receives it's items from stores when things either don't sell or stores have too much in stock. Mighty Dollar get's the items and sells everything for a dollar. Granted, yes, there are cheap things.. I mean just $1, but the more you shop there, the more you start to learn what is good, what holds up, and what's well worth $1.
There are many times I buy name brand foods, clothes, bathroom items, cleaning products, air fresheners, and so on. I've bought Charmin Toilet Paper, a four pack for $1, I've bought Glade air fresheners for a dollar. There are dishes, clothing, shampoos, you name it, this store has it. Also, food items are not taxed. I've bought 35 Calorie Wheat Bread (which normally costs almost $3) for a buck, not taxed on it, and it had two weeks till expiration.
The same goes for Dollar Tree, it's amazing what you can buy there for just a dollar. Dollar Tree doesn't hardly ever get anything name brand because they are a more developed chain.
Both store's - nothing is more than a dollar. Be careful though, they will try to sell canned foods for $1, that you could normally get for cheaper than a dollar at places like Walmart or Kroger's.
These places can be great for people who are really struggling, or just trying to save money! I have bought people's Christmas gifts at these places, and they would never know it wasn't an expensive item!
Great for party supplies, Christmas decorations, Halloween, Thanksgiving..
Really, if you have one in your area and have never checked them out: CHECK IT OUT!
I've saved up to $50 bucks or more because I found items at these places instead of buying them elsewhere!
