I'll get right to it. I live in Illinois and I play airsoft. We don't get much snow here, but it gets plenty cold and there's loads of ice in the winter times. In order to avoid slipping and falling on my ass (and then being shot in the ass) I decided to try to use a pair of yaktrax Walkers I had lying around.

They helped, but after about an hour the rubber toe links snapped due to an unknown reason. I considered buying some yaktrax "runners", but I'm not exactly running; well, I am, but the product seems to be marketed for joggers, not for guys like me that are not only running but ducking, jumping, sliding, dodging all while on uneven terrain instead of simple pavement and trails.

Anyone have any suggestions?
