I would like to leave the country and begin a new life somewhere else. I have no college degree, no job skills, no social-capital, no assets, no family and a history of mental-illness (ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Chemical Dependency, Personality and Detachment Disorder) I am used to living in poverty and have been off and on homeless my entire adult life. I have recently had a windfall of $40k and I'm ready to try life somewhere new. Somewhere that is friendly to artistic-types that may potentiate a human to live out their remaining years modestly and with humility. Is there anywhere on Earth a middle-aged dude can retire expire happily on $40k? With access to clean water and relative stability and freedom from violence? Siberia? Mexico? India?
