My journey to living simply started out in the "personal finance" world about five years ago when I worked to pay off my student loans as quickly as possible. As that goal wrapped up, i found the "financial independence" mindset. From there I started branching out into minimalism, and searching for a life philosophy, such as stocism or meditation, but haven't stuck with anything yet. Back in August I got fed up with how much garbage I create and have been slowly replacing single use plastics with re-usable products, becoming interested in learning more about zero-waste and anti-consumption. Then in December I was frustrated by my screen time and caught myself watching something on TV, working on something on my computer, and redditing on my phone (yes, three screens at once!). I started reading more books (mostly from the library) and listening to instrumental music. I unsubscribed from shopping emails and have been getting more sleep. In general I am pleased by the changes I am making in my life. My house has been cleaner, I am spending less money, and reading more than I have in several years. My concern is that for the past few weekends I have found myself sitting on the couch with a cup of tea and letting my mind wander. This is great for a while, but at the end of the day I feel like I haven't acomplished much. Maybe this is okay as it's not like I acomplished much in my "Netflix days," but it makes me question if there is anything else I can be doing with this time that will feel as relaxing without the zombie-day-dreaming-couch-potatoe-hangover? I have gotten rid of a lot of unnecessary noise and clutter, but now what do I do with my freed-up time and energy?

I hope my concern makes sense. I wasn't sure where to post, but simple living seems to be the common thread between all of my areas of interest. I want to "live with intention" but am not sure what I should "intend" to do.

For reference, I'm a female in her mid-twenties. I work in the corporate world Monday-Friday and live in a small apartment.
