Are there any common frugal tips on the subreddit or anywhere else that you are either tired of hearing or save you so little money they aren't really worth it?

Mine is the make your own laundry soap one. Even conservative estimates say you save 8 cents per load on average. Unless you have a laundry business this doesn't make sense to me. I know "A penny saved is a penny earned" but this tip seems to be more about being crafty than really saving money.
