I'm 36. I work in the oil industry, up in Alaska in the Arctic. I'm a Team Lead at a billion dollar facility. It's a good job and it pays pretty well at $157k before bonus.

But I guess I wonder if this is it? Does this kind of experience even translate to somewhere else? Could I ever expect to make more money than I do now? Currently only have two associates of applied science.

I'm scared to think about leaving the company. Going on 12 years experience with this company (an oil major) but I feel like I have more to offer than this job requires and the company politics are getting in the way. I suppose I should just be happy but for some reason I wonder if it would be possible to get a better job, one where I can make a bigger difference and yes, make more money.
