My dog just had surgery. Now, not every drug that our furry friends will be on is available at human pharmacies, but many are. My dog was prescribed tramadol and trazadone post op. The clinic called them into Costco pharmacy, and both meds came to $16. I work at the animal hospital, and even with my discount both drugs would have been $30+. Now most antibiotics used on animals are human drugs, as well as eye medications, and some sedatives/opiates. Always ask! If your vet gives your crap for it, well, then your vet may not be very considerate of your cost concerns.
