I'm currently living with my friend in a city close to Cleveland, Ohio. I moved up here about six months ago, and have been living with a buddy of mine and his older brother. I am looking to move back to Florida for school purposes, and my friend is considering moving with me. Unfortunately, he's worried about job availability and his financial status.
He has no college education, just a high school degree. He has been working at the same job at a car battery store for about 3 years, making around $12/h in the past year. Are there any jobs that start around that amount with few requirements? At this age, what are his options for schooling and possibly receiving financial aid to return to school after a year of establishing residency in a new state? Since I'm a bit more financially secure, is there a lease agreement to where I could pay a larger majority of the rent temporarily while he establishes a source of income? Any other words of advice from those who have been in a similar situation in the past? All is appreciated. Thank you!
