I buy a computer from Bestbuy.com. It includes a free antivirus digital download. Who doesn't like free? Anyway, I cancel the computer. The order overview screen says Item Total:$ 0.00. No problem right?
I open up my credit card bill and see a charge for $30 from Best Buy. wtf? I go onto Bestbuy.com and INTO the actual order page. Bestbuy changed the price of the free software to $30.
I never agreed to pay $30 for antivirus. I agreed to pay $500 for a computer and $0 for free antivirus. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this even legal?
PSA: If you buy something from Bestbuy that includes a free item, you need to cancel BOTH items or else Bestbuy.com will charge you for the free item instead of cancelling it!
