I just sold my rather expensive truck to help free up finances for my wife and I as we are both not making a whole lot right now, but I will be needing a car soon. I need some help on a strategy to do this the smart way without wasting money, or ending up with a completely crappy car either.
I figure I could:
1.) buy an inexpensive new car and reap the rewards of having an untouched car and a full warranty (i.e. Honda Fit or something similar)
2.) buy a CPO and cut out some of the depreciation, but still get a warranty
3.) buy a cheap used car. Something that just gets me from point A to point B but might be a gamble as to how long it could last
I'm down for any of these options... in my head I think my "want" for something nice tries to overpower my need for something affordable and practical.
Any frugal advice is welcomed
