Not sure if this is applicable here, but I can't think of a better subreddit.
I am planning to move in together with my Girlfriend of 3 years. I have a solid credit score and make around 3x the rent of every apartment we are looking at. I know for a fact that I alone would be accepted to sign a lease at any of the apartments if I were to apply by myself. The issue is my girlfriend has pretty horrendous credit and a lower income. I'd imagine she wouldn't get approved for any apartment if she applied alone. I was wondering. Is there an option to sign a lease to an apartment and to have me be the sole financial backing? Or even better would they be fine with our applications seeing just my good credit history and income?
