I love to garden, period. If I could only choose on thing to do in life, it would be gardening. I lost my house and garden, which I do not miss at all, and along the way moving 5 times in 5 years, I created a couple of gardens for other people, including the ones I'm creating here. I had no houseplants when I moved here, so I got a few cuttings here and there around the complex where things had started growing wild and ended up with a nice collection of houseplants. I like having plants indoors, because they clean the air and are very pretty besides.
So I looked at these plants today in my very sunny south-facing picture window and thought "I'm tired of these plants. I want to grow something I can eat.
So tomorrow, I'm going to give all these plants to my neighbor -- well, not my pothos, because I love my pothos -- but all the rest, and I'm going to go buy some herbs and plant some micro-greens and turn that into my little herb and greens garden. I can start some sprouts on the bottom shelves where it's shaded from the sun. I have 12 feet of shelf space where I can be growing food, which also provides oxygen and cleans the air.
Plus, when you cut the herbs, they make the house smell so good!
